Code For Oakland Hackathon

Code For Oakland is a city wide hackathon focused on increasing civic participation in local issues and building networks between technologists, developers and a diverse cross section of community members. The event is co produced by several organizations including Oakland Local, Urban Strategies Council, Tech Liminal, 2.Oak, Code for America, the City of Oakland and several other organizations and individual volunteers.

The event’s theme was “Building Our Civic Web” and was called “the most diverse hackathon ever” by Forbes Magazine.
