Oakland Local was a hyperlocal news site and media capacity building organization serving Oakland, Ca and the surrounding cities. We covered under reported issues and provided a news platform that focused on 6 key areas: Identity, Arts and Education, Food Justice, Development, Justice and the Environment. We also partnered with local bloggers and community groups and provided training and media workshops.
